The
Easter
Programme
This year we will once again be using the money raised from the Big Give campaign - #ChampionsForChildren - championed by The Childhood Trust, to fund our out of school programmes.
Following the Covid-19 guidelines, from the .Gov website – COVID-19 Response - Spring 2021 (Summary) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
Social Contact - The evidence shows that it is safer for people to meet outdoors rather than indoors. And this is why from 29 March, when most schools start to break up for the Easter holidays, outdoor gatherings (including in private gardens) of either 6 people (the Rule of 6) or 2 households will also be allowed, making it easier for friends and families to meet outside.
We have designed an Easter programme with fun outdoor activities such as football, rounders and basketball that are all covid friendly. The activities will take place at Park Hill or Wandle Park in Croydon between 12pm – 4pm and all young people will be given a drink and a warm meal. This programme allows our staff to mentor and support young people over the Easter, as well as get them involved in fun activities so they can stay fit and make friends.
Due to the rule of 6 we will only be able to work with a limited amount of young people, if you would like to sign your child up to our programme please use our online form or email info@livesnotknives.org with the subject line 'Easter Programme Interest' and we will respond with further details.
